THE COUNTRY CHAMPAGNE FLIGHT begins at sunrise in the picturesque Central Texas countryside. The launch site is determined by your pilot, based on current weather conditions and passenger location.

The private world of wildlife and blankets of native flowers are often revealed in areas that may be accessible only by balloon. Flight time is approximately one hour, or possibly a bit longer. The actual duration of your flight will be determined by fuel consumption and available landing sites, not by the clock.

As a balloon gently lifts off into the sky, it moves in the same direction and at the same speed of the wind.  Balloons only launch when wind speed and direction will provide a safe and enjoyable flight.  Steering a balloon is somewhat tricky as the only way to change direction is by changing altitudes.  The distance you fly depends entirely on the speed of the wind.

Champagne Flights
These flights are scheduled at sunrise and sunset each day - seven days a week - twelve months a year. The ONLY reasons a flight would be cancelled are due to unfavorable weather at the time of the flight, or adverse ground conditions after a storm.

GONE BANANAS is flown by Jimmy Bruce over the coastal plains and farmland south of Houston, Texas. He and his wife, Bekki, have been ballooning for nine years. Jimmy holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate and his ballooning activities include passenger and FUN flights, promotional ventures, community service, and rallies.

Brian Critelli has been flying hot air balloons for 14 years. He currently lives Webster, TX and flies on the south side of town in the Alvin, Friendswood, Dickinson areas. He holds a commercial pilot license. He provides champagne balloon rides and instruction for those interested in learning to fly

The Edwards Family began flying hot air balloons in 1975. Enjoying competition, Sam flies in state and national events. He holds the current Southwest Regional Champion title. He has represented the United States in three world champion competitions. Their company, A Better Way to Fly, offers champagne flights for two and represents Lindstrand Balloons.

Founded in 1977 Balloon Adventures, USA is a full service hot air balloon company offering adventure flights, sales, training, advertising and promotions. Located in Longview, Texas in the heart of the Ark-La-Tex, Balloon Adventures USA operates a fleet of balloons with the largest able to accommodate up to 6 passengers at one time. Larger groups of up to 30 can be accommodated with advance notice. Sunrise and sunset flights are available year round at a cost of $180 per person, with children ten years and under $95. Gift certificates (valid for 1-year) are also available and private flights for members of your party only can be arranged with prior notice and an additional fee.
