Many of our listings do not have pricing
information. We wanted you to understand why that is. Since ballooning
is a weather dependant activity, pricing can vary from region to region.
Many operators offer specials depending on demand and season of year. To
list all these specials would just add confusion to this online
resource. In many areas you will find several PRO's
(professional ride operators).
Competition between these operators keep pricing at it's best. We have
found pricing to be competitive in each area with pricing varying only
about $5 from operator to operator. Pricing nationwide can be anywhere
from $160 to $225 per person depending on yearly flight weather in that
region. Currently the national average is around $180 per person.
Our
flights are conducted in the beautiful Flathead Valley
which is located just 45 minutes from Glacier National
Park. Passengers are encouraged to participate in the
inflation process as they help bring the lifeless
fabric to its final stage of grandeur-- ready for
liftoff. Once the balloon is inflated and under way,
we may brush through treetops then rise to several
thousand feet, swoop low over a field of flowers, or
float inches above the river!
Western Sky Hot Air Balloon Team in
Billings offers guests and residents a chance to fly
over billings and view the landscape from a peaceful
hot air balloon. Since the balloon actually travels
with the breeze there is no engine noise. An
occasional "blast" from the burner is all that is
heard during the flight.
Each flight lasts about an hour to an hour and a half
with varying altitudes. Flights can be scheduled in
the morning, just after sunrise or in the evening
prior to sunset.
A glass of champagne is served following each flight
to celebrate the event.
Imagine...it's like floating without water, flying
without noise. The buildings get smaller, the clouds
get closer, and your
cares disappear as you view the earth from a serene
and beautiful place. Nothing compares to a hot-air
balloon ride. Many of our passengers have waited their
entire lives for this experience.
Our flights are $175 per person for a one-hour ride.
Afterwards, enjoy a champagne toast and post-fight
celebration while you are awarded your aviator's
certificate.
