Many of our listings do not have pricing
information. We wanted you to understand why that is. Since ballooning
is a weather dependant activity, pricing can vary from region to region.
Many operators offer specials depending on demand and season of year. To
list all these specials would just add confusion to this online
resource. In many areas you will find several PRO's
(professional ride operators).
Competition between these operators keep pricing at it's best. We have
found pricing to be competitive in each area with pricing varying only
about $5 from operator to operator. Pricing nationwide can be anywhere
from $160 to $225 per person depending on yearly flight weather in that
region. Currently the national average is around $180 per person.
You will begin your experience by meeting
your pilot, crew, and the balloon at a designated location.
At that time we will do a check of weather to verify our
launch site. We then will board the chase vehicle (family
and friends are welcome to follow in their own vehicle) and
we will drive to the launch site. Our launch sites are
determined by the direction and speeds of the wind. While we
would like to accommodate all requests to fly over certain
areas, sometimes weather or other circumstances prevent us
from doing so.
Once we reach the launch site the pilot may do another check
of weather conditions and we will begin the process of
inflation. The inflation will take approximately 15-20
minutes. Once you have boarded the balloon you will take off
to see some of the most spectacular scenery around. You'll
be able to enjoy seeing the City of Madison from the air as
well as fly over countryside where you may see deer, cranes,
and other wildlife as well as the beauty of the landscape
below you.
At the end of your flight we will pack the balloon up and
then open a bottle of champagne to toast our flight and
learn more about the history of ballooning. Plan your
balloon experience to take approximately three hours total.
There will be a hour of flight time as well as approximately
two hours to allow for setup, teardown, and driving to and
from launch sites
