Pricing information.

Many of our listings do not have pricing information. We wanted you to understand why that is. Since ballooning is a weather dependant activity, pricing can vary from region to region. Many operators offer specials depending on demand and season of year. To list all these specials would just add confusion to this online resource. In many areas you will find several PRO's (professional ride operators).
Competition between these operators keep pricing at it's best. We have found pricing to be competitive in each area with pricing varying only about $5 from operator to operator. Pricing nationwide can be anywhere from $160 to $225 per person depending on yearly flight weather in that region. Currently the national average is around $180 per person.

Flights

Balloon flights are typically flown in the first hour after sunrise or within the remaining two hours of daylight before sunset. During the day the air becomes much more active and it becomes unsafe for a balloon flight. During the cooler months it is possible to fly during the day because convection currents are not as strong. An average balloon flight lasts about an hour.

Q. How should I dress?

A. Balloons are flown in all seasons, so dress the way you would for a short hike in the season you are flying; if it is cool, dress warm if it is hot dress cool. Sensable shoes are a must. Please no sandals or flip-flops. The temperature during flight will be very close to the temperature on the ground. A hat and sunglasses are also good to bring along.

Q. Can I bring a camera?

A. Absolutely. Cameras and video cameras are encouraged. A balloon fligt is one of the greatest adventures you will ever have, and you will want to capture it on film. For safety reasons we ask that any cameras you bring be equipped with a neck strap. It is also a good idea to bring a small camera case. All devices must be stowed away before landing.
