Pricing information.

Many of our listings do not have pricing information. We wanted you to understand why that is. Since ballooning is a weather dependant activity, pricing can vary from region to region. Many operators offer specials depending on demand and season of year. To list all these specials would just add confusion to this online resource. In many areas you will find several PRO's (professional ride operators).
Competition between these operators keep pricing at it's best. We have found pricing to be competitive in each area with pricing varying only about $5 from operator to operator. Pricing nationwide can be anywhere from $160 to $225 per person depending on yearly flight weather in that region. Currently the national average is around $180 per person.

If you're looking for a great scenic balloon flight with an experienced pilot who gives his passengers individual attention, then Big Horn Balloon Company is for you.

Flight Times
Time Span - 3 to 4 hours (from the time we pick you up until the time we drop you off)
When flying in Montrose, passengers are in the balloon the entire time the balloon is in the air. The average flight time for Montrose is 1 hour.
In Crested Butte the balloon may fly in "hops". A chase vehicle follows the balloon to the point where the balloon lands and changes out passengers. Passenger not riding in the balloon are then part of the chase crew. The average flight time for Crested Butte is 45 minutes.
Flight times may vary 15 minutes more or less from average flight times due to wind conditions and availability of landing sites.
