Many of our listings do not have pricing
information. We wanted you to understand why that is. Since ballooning
is a weather dependant activity, pricing can vary from region to region.
Many operators offer specials depending on demand and season of year. To
list all these specials would just add confusion to this online
resource. In many areas you will find several PRO's
(professional ride operators).
Competition between these operators keep pricing at it's best. We have
found pricing to be competitive in each area with pricing varying only
about $5 from operator to operator. Pricing nationwide can be anywhere
from $160 to $225 per person depending on yearly flight weather in that
region. Currently the national average is around $180 per person.
Nothing can compare to the experience of a
champagne balloon flight! Imagine floating gently with the
winds over some of the most scenic parts of Western New
York. We have several standard launch sites or you can
choose your own, maybe even your own back yard! Depending on
wind direction, we can often fly over some of New York's
beautiful county or state parks. A really exciting option is
booking a flight for one of the several balloon rallies!
Flying with 10, 20, or more other balloons is another
experience altogether. After our flight we toast our event
with champagne. (nonalcoholic also available).
Hello!! I am Mark Gietler, the owner and
pilot of The Aurora Balloon Company. I spent most of the
last 18 years since graduating from college managing
restaurants. After receiving a balloon flight as a gift, I
immediately began the pursuit of a pilots certificate. The
experience left such an impression on me that I knew that I
wanted to become more involved in the unique adventure of
Hot Air Ballooning. It took several years of schools and
flight lessons to be ready to pass all of the written and
flight tests, but it was worth it! Never have I met a
person, young or old, who did not get excited when they saw
a balloon floating in the breeze, or get really excited when
they got to fly in one! Everywhere we go with the balloon it
attracts attention and brings out the smiles on everyone's
face. I invite you to come share the adventure with me and
my crew. We fly as often as weather permits and would love
to make a unique experience for you or someone you love.
